What sweeper hire covers
A machine, a filter and someone who knows which is which.
Sweeper hire sounds like a transaction — a machine turns up, you push it around, it goes back. In practice the result depends almost entirely on two choices made before delivery: the sweeping width against the hours you have available, and the filtration against the material on the floor.
Get the first wrong and a night shift runs into the morning. Get the second wrong and fine dust that should be in the hopper ends up airborne, on your stock and in your crew's lungs. Sweeper Rentals has spent twenty-five years making those two calls, on our own machines, which is why our advice costs nothing and our quotes are specific.
Every sweeper hire includes delivery, scheduled maintenance, consumables such as brushes and filters, and a replacement machine if anything fails mid-hire.

Walk-behind and ride-on, compared
Floor area is the obvious input, but the deciding factor is your cleaning window. A walk-behind covers roughly a quarter of the ground per hour that a mid-size ride-on does. If the site is only free between 2am and 5am, that difference decides the hire.

Aisles are narrow, the area is under about 2,000 m², or the machine needs to work around racking, docks and doorways in an occupied building.
Hire a ride-on when
The floor is open and large — distribution centres, car parks, yards, hardstand — or the cleaning window is too short for a pedestrian machine.
Hire both when
A ride-on takes the open floor while a walk-behind details the perimeter. On big handovers this is faster and cheaper than one oversized machine.

What does sweeper hire cost in Brisbane?
Sweeper hire rates depend on machine size and hire length. Daily, weekly and monthly rates are available, and long-term contracts attract fixed rates with maintenance and consumables included. Call 1300 387 713 with the floor area and we will quote on the call.
Do I need a licence to operate a hired sweeper?
No licence is required for walk-behind or ride-on industrial sweepers on private property. We provide operator training on delivery so your crew can run the machine safely, or you can take wet hire and we supply the operator.
Can I hire a sweeper for one day?
Yes. One day is our minimum sweeper hire period, though most move to weekly or monthly terms once they see how much floor a machine covers per shift.
